International train route Vilnius–Krakow–Vilnius

1. The offer for train travel between Poland and Lithuania (hereinafter: the ‘Offer’) applies to the Vilnius–Krakow–Vilnius route.

2. Trains running on the Vilnius–Krakow–Vilnius route are operated by PKP Intercity S.A. (hereinafter: PKP IC) and UAB LTG Link (hereinafter: LTG Link), with changing trains at Mockava Railway Station.

1. The ticket price includes payment for the transport service and seat reservation.

2. Tickets are on sale:

2.1. at the ticket office – no earlier than 60 days before departure,

2.2. online – no earlier than 60 days before departure,

2.3. on board the train – during the journey only.

3. Tickets are valid for one one-way trip. If you want to book a round trip, you need to purchase two separate tickets. 

4. Interrail and Eurail tickets are valid for travel after purchasing a non-refundable, paid seat reservation.

5. A ticket for carrying dogs or bicycles can be purchased together with a travel ticket or added to the existing ticket. Purchase of tickets for carrying dogs and/or bicycles in Poland is only possible at the ticket office.

6. A surcharge is applied for tickets purchased on board the train if the passenger has got on the train at a station or stop having an international ticket office (which was open at the time).

1. Payment for a ticket purchased at the ticket office or on board the train is made in cash or by bank card. 

2. Payments are accepted in Polish zlotys (PLN) in Poland and in euros (EUR) in Lithuania.

3. Payment for a ticket purchased online is made using the payment methods indicated on the website.

1. The ticket is valid for the route, date and seat indicated on it. 

2. For tickets purchased online, the identity document must be presented during ticket checks on the train.

3. Forged, defaced, destroyed, illegible or otherwise damaged tickets are invalid.

1. The travel ticket prices, and the prices of dog and bicycle tickets are given in Annex 1 to this Offer.

2. Further discounts are available on children’s travel.

Ticket price per bicycle is €10.00 

Dog ticket price is €5.00

1. A child under 6 years of age can travel free of charge without occupying a separate seating position.

2. If several children under 6 years of age are travelling with the passenger, one of them can travel free of charge, while the others must be ticketed at a 50% discount on the ticket fare.

3. If children aged between 6 and 12 years are travelling, they must purchase tickets at a 50% discount on the ticket fare.

4. The age of the child is determined by how old the child is on the day of departure. On request by the train staff, a valid document certifying the child’s age must be presented.

5. Children under 13 cannot travel unaccompanied on trains. 

1. Small dogs and other small pets (up to a maximum of two), if they are in suitable containers (baskets, boxes, cages, etc.), are carried free of charge. Specially designed containers cannot occupy a separate seating position. 

2. For carrying dogs (not more than one) which are not in containers a ticket must be purchased. They must be fitted with a suitable muzzle and remain on a short lead.  A dog cannot occupy a separate seating position.

3. Guide dogs accompanying persons with disabilities or persons with reduced mobility are carried free of charge. Such dogs can be unmuzzled, on a lead only. 

4. Dogs or other animals which may endanger the life and health of passengers and train staff are not allowed.

5. For carrying dogs and other animals it is required to have an animal health certificate issued by a veterinarian and observe sanitary and hygienic requirements. 

6. The passenger must supervise his animals during train ride.

1. Hand luggage the three dimensions (length, width, height) of which do not exceed 200 cm and the total weight of which does not exceed 36 kg may be carried free of charge.  Hand luggage in excess of the hand luggage norms is not allowed.

2. Hand luggage up to 15 kg for children up to 12 years is allowed free of charge.

3. When travelling with a child, a stroller may also be carried free of charge as hand luggage. 

4. In addition to hand luggage, a person with reduced mobility can take a folding wheelchair free of charge. 

5. The following items may not be carried:

5.1. items that damage or contaminate the coaches, other passengers or their belongings,

5.2. highly flammable, spontaneously inflammable, explosive, corrosive, radioactive and toxic substances,

5.3. loaded firearms, except in the cases provided for by the national legislation,

5.4. infectious or foul-smelling items. 

6. Hand luggage may not obstruct passage in the coach or cause inconvenience to other passengers.

7. Hand luggage must be supervised the passenger himself and is carried under the sole responsibility of the passenger.

1. The passenger is entitled to carry one bicycle if the train is equipped for that purpose.

2. The number of storage spaces for transporting bicycles is limited. 

3. A bicycle ticket must be purchased for bicycle transporting. 

4. Dismantled and packaged bicycles, the dimensions and weight of which are within the hand luggage norms, are transported without charge, and their weight is included in the permitted hand luggage limit.

1. For return of the ticket purchased at the ticket office, the passenger can contact any ticket office of the carrier (who issued the ticket) before departure. 

2. Return of tickets purchased on the LTG Link website may take place via the Internet or at any LTG Link ticket office, provided that there is at least 4 hours before the train leaves the station indicated on the ticket.

3. The conditions for return of tickets bought on the PKP IC website are set out in the provisions of the e-IC Rules (Regulaminie e-IC). Return of tickets bought through the e-IC system may take place up to 5 minutes before the train leaves the station indicated on the ticket. After the expiry of this time limit, the passenger may return the purchased ticket subject to submitting a request.

4. The unused ticket purchased:

4.1. from PKP IC can be exchanged not later than up to one day before the train leaves the station indicated on the ticket.

4.2. from LTG Link can be exchanged not later than 4 hours before the train leaves the station indicated on the ticket.

5. The ticket can be exchanged by the carrier from which it has been purchased.

1. Tickets purchased from PKP IC are refundable:

1.1. up to 1 day before departure – after deducting 10% of the ticket price,

1.2. on the day of departure, but before the train leaves the station indicated on the ticket – after deducting 50% of the ticket price.

2. Tickets purchased from LTG Link are refundable if there are at least 4 hours before the train leaves the station indicated on the ticket – after deducting 10% of the ticket price. The non-refundable part of the ticket price comprises the carrier’s minimum loss due to a refund for the unused ticket.

3. If the ticket has not been used due to the fault of the carrier, the passenger is entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.

4. The unused ticket provided after departure of the train is refundable in accordance with the provisions set out in point 49 of this Offer.

5. If the ticket has been paid for by card, its price will be refunded to the card account. 

6. If the ticket has been paid for using e-banking, the money will be refunded to the bank account used for the ticket purchase. The refund procedure may take up to 14 days of receipt for the request for a request. 

7. If the passenger is unable to begin or continue the journey for unavoidable reasons (illness, accident, or hospitalisation), he is entitled to apply to the carrier for a refund. The request must be accompanied by the ticket and the relevant documents (or duly certified copies thereof) proving the circumstances stated in the request.

8. If the passenger did not travel to the final destination indicated on the ticket but got off at an intermediate station, the fare difference between the fare indicated on the ticket and the fare for a shorter route is not refundable.
