Tickets exchange and return

The provisions apply to all types of tickets

  • If the passenger was unable to travel by train through the fault of the Carrier, the full amount of any unused ticket type shall be refunded.
  • Cash refund is made only at the Carrier’s ticket office, if the ticket was purchased at the Carrier’s ticket office, paying for the ticket in cash or by bank card.
  • If the ticket was paid for online or in a mobile application (APPs) using electronic banking, the money is returned to the passenger by a payment order to the payer’s bank account. The money will be refunded within 1 business day at the latest. 
  • When the Customer applies for a refund of tickets or Additional Services, the Customer shall return the money to the specified passenger account within 14 calendar days after filling in the feedback form at the box office or on the Carrier’s website www.ltglink.lt and the Carrier making a refund decision.
  • If the passenger did not travel to the final station or stop indicated on the ticket, but got off at the intermediate station or stop, the difference between the prices of the shorter journey indicated in the ticket and the Additional Services shall not be refunded.

One-time and Additional Services tickets

  • If you wish to change the travel date and/or departure time, place, class and/or additional services indicated on the one-time ticket, please contact any Carrier’s ticket office or you can do it yourself on the website www.ltglink.lt or in the mobile application. 
  • You can change a one-time ticket only once, if there are at least 4 (four) hours left before the train departure time indicated on the ticket.
  • A modified one-time and/or Additional Services ticket is non-refundable. 
  • If the price increases when changing a one-time ticket, you must pay the difference, if the price decreases – the difference in ticket prices will be refunded. 
  • You can return a one-time ticket and get back 90 % of the ticket price at least 24 (twenty-four) hours before the departure of the train. Contact any Carrier’s ticket office or you can do it yourself on the website www.ltglink.lt or in the mobile application. 
  • You can return a one-time ticket and get back 70 % of the ticket price at least 4 (four) hours before the departure of the train. Contact any Carrier’s ticket office or you can do it yourself on the website www.ltglink.lt or in the mobile application. 
  • If there are less than 4 (four) hours left before the train departure time indicated on the ticket and/or after the train departure, the money for the unused one-time ticket will not be refunded.
  • Additional Services tickets are exchanged and refunded under the conditions applicable to one-time tickets, unless other regulations governing the exchange and return of the Additional Services ticket apply to different products and/or services in the Carrier’s Special Rules. The Special Rules are available at www.ltglink.lt.
  • All additional fees, deductions and/or non-refundable amounts applied by the Carrier (non-refundable part of the ticket price or the full ticket price) are the Carrier’s minimum losses due to the change and/or return of an unused ticket or Additional Services ticket.
  • The exchange fee applied by the Carrier for tickets and/or Additional Services is indicated in the Carrier’s price list at www.ltglink.lt.

Fixed-term tickets:

The validity of the fixed-term ticket has not started. In this case, 100 % of the ticket price will be refunded;

  • The passenger has been ill for an uninterrupted period of at least 10 calendar days or was unable to use a fixed-term ticket for at least 10 calendar days, in which case the passenger is reimbursed 70 % (non-refundable part of the ticket price is the Carrier’s minimum loss due to returning an unused ticket) unused days. 
  • All additional applicable fees, deductions and/or non-refundable amounts (non-refundable part of the ticket price) are the Carrier’s minimum losses due to the change and/or return of an unused ticket or Additional Services ticket.

    One-Day tickets

    • A one-day ticket is non-exchangeable. In order to exchange the One-Day Ticket, the passenger must return the existing ticket and purchase a new one.
    • The one-day ticket is non-refundable, except in cases where the validity period of the One-Day Ticket has not started. In this case, 100% of the ticket price is refunded.

    Group tickets

    • Group tickets are not exchangeable. If you wish to change your group ticket, you must return your existing ticket and purchase a new one.
    • For an unused group ticket (the group ticket is not divided into parts), 90 % of the ticket price is refunded to the buyer if there are 24 (twenty four) hours left before the train departs. If you wish to return a group ticket, change to any Carrier’s ticket office or you can do it yourself on the website www.ltglink.lt.
    • For an unused group ticket (the group ticket is not divided into parts), 70 % of the ticket price is refunded to the buyer if there are 24 (twenty four) hours left before the train departs, but not less than 4 (four) hours. If you wish to return a group ticket, change to any Carrier’s ticket office or you can do it yourself on the website www.ltglink.lt.
    • The non-refundable part of the ticket price is the Carrier’s minimum loss due to the return of an unused ticket). The Customer may return the ticket by contacting any of the Carrier’s ticket offices or by doing this himself/herself on the Carrier’s website www.ltglink.lt. 
    • Unused group tickets submitted less than 4 (four) hours before the departure of the train indicated on the ticket and/or departure of the train will not be refunded. 
    • All additional applicable fees, deductions and/or non-refundable amounts (non-refundable part of the ticket price or the full ticket price) are the Carrier’s minimum loss due to the exchange and/or return of an unused ticket or Additional Services ticket.
